Nestled within the Blue Star Arts Complex in San Antonio's historic King William District, King William Wine Co. is an award-winning restaurant bringing together Chef Jill Arreguin's European-inspired cuisine, a Champagne-first wine program, and genuine hospitality.
Since opening in 2025, King William has been recognized among San Antonio's best restaurants. The San Antonio Express-News named King William the #23 restaurant in its 2026 Top 50 Restaurants in San Antonio and #5 among the best restaurants in Southtown, following recognition from both the Express-News and San Antonio Magazine as one of the city's Best New Restaurants in 2025.

At the heart of King William is Chef Jill Arreguin, whose cooking has been shaped by family traditions and years spent exploring the markets, vineyards, and kitchens of Europe and beyond. Influences from France, Italy, Spain, Scotland, England, Luxembourg, and her travels throughout the world meet classical technique and exceptional Texas ingredients in a style of cooking that is distinctly her own.
Her seasonal menus are created with wine in mind. Fresh seafood, house-made pastas, premium Texas steaks, caviar, and European-inspired dishes are thoughtfully prepared to bring food and wine together at the table.
Jill's philosophy is equally rooted in hospitality: memorable meals aren't defined by food alone, but by the people around the table and how they feel while they're there.

The Restaurant welcomes you with chandeliers, draped curtains, candlelight, and the refined character of the historic neighborhood we call home. Elegant without being formal, it is a room made for dinner, conversation, celebration, and the pleasure of lingering at the table.
Step farther inside and the experience changes.
The Cellar is warmer, quieter, and more intimate, with wood-lined walls and bottles from the King William wine collection surrounding the room. Its inspiration comes from a feeling we have always loved: wandering down a narrow street in Rome or Madrid, opening the door to an old wine shop, and discovering a room you never expected to find.
Here, wine isn't simply something selected from a list. It is part of the room itself.
Together, The Restaurant and The Cellar express the two sides of King William—refined yet welcoming, rooted in San Antonio yet inspired by Europe, and built around the belief that a memorable evening should feel like a discovery.
An Exceptional Wine Program
Wine is at the heart of King William.
Our growing cellar features more than 225 selections and more than 1,200 bottles, with particular depth in Champagne and the classic wine regions of Europe, complemented by benchmark wines from Napa Valley, South America, Australia, South Africa, Texas, and beyond.
The collection ranges from grower and prestige Champagne to Grand Cru Burgundy, mature Bordeaux, celebrated Spanish and Italian estates, and benchmark producers such as Vega Sicilia, Dominus, and Don Melchor. Alongside these iconic bottles are smaller producers and discoveries chosen for their character, craftsmanship, and place at the table.
Led by Chef and Sommelier Jill Arreguin, the wine program is designed around food, hospitality, and discovery. New producers, vintages, and Champagne selections are continually added as the cellar evolves.
